Mikula: Toolbox

Certain things come up over and over again on new projects and it’s good to have a resource to reference. Hence, the tool box. I’ll be adding tools to this toolbox as often as things come up. What can you find in this post? Everything from pre-hover states, Safari/IE hacks, and the like. I personally think Safari has more problems than IE. Some things just don’t work for IE, but really don’t work 1/2 assed or different than they should… it just doesn’t support some useful shit that people ant. Vacation in Stumptown.

A city with a sense of community and culture, great architecture and public transit, unique entertainment, encouraging music and art scene, with enough inspiration from the weather, nature, people, and emotion to last a lifetime; what else could you ask for? I decided to take a trip to Portland from Dec. 27th 2005 until New Years Day, and I want to share it with everyone. The best way to describe the city itself is to quote something someone told me while I was up there. “Most big cities, you just go about your business, doing your thing… but in Portland, you’re actually part of the city.” It’s completely true. For the most part, everyone is friendly and inviting even when it’s pouring rain outside. Places like Pizza Schmizza, the Mcmenamin pubs/theaters/venues, Voodoo Doughnuts, Stumptown Coffee, Montage, and Powell’s are examples of things you wouldn’t find anywhere in California… and in EVERY place, someone was interested in… Continue Reading

Under Construction?

Can I even say those two words together without getting ridiculed? Well shit on here is still in transition, but I really wanted to get this up. Over the next week or so things will start functioning better and as soon as I post enough I’ll put the search up. So, what is this? Well for now it’s going to be a place for me to post random shit that interests me and hopefully anyone else that reads it. What exactly would that be? I don’t even know yet, just keep an eye out for new posts; hopefully daily.
