Ahh, Spring time. Time for a tastily awesome mixtape. You ready? You might be, but since I can’t see how prepared you are… I’ll just take your word. It’s a bunch of music I’ve found since 06 mixed with some relics. Don’t you like how people ‘find’ music? It’s like you have to explore the caverns of awesomeness to find quality music. I was about a three blocks away from the Horton Plaza parking garage this morning, downtown off G and Second, and missed my turn. So I go through this round-about and come to a stop sign, look both ways and start to go when this crazy dude crossed in front of me and said, “He’s more of a motha fuckin man, than a mother with a fucking dick. BWAHAHAHA”
I love downtown…
So today I was inviting friends to see my Google Calendar and share events and such, moving around the interface making sure it’s someting I want to use permanently (and it is)… when I look at my buddy Jeremy’s calendar and see random dates with what looks like lipsum or something.
Me: what’s up with your calendar?
Jeremy Kendall: whats up with it
Me: it has random dates with rubbish? like Rosh Chodesh Iyyar
Me: or Pesach I
Jeremy Kendall: racist… lol… its jewish holidays
Me: hahaha, silly jew boy!
Jeremy Kendall: crap, i cant un-import calendars …. we might be stuck with the jewish holidays.. lol
Me: no clear calendar?
Jeremy Kendall: no cause i integrated it into my main one
Jeremy Kendall: didnt realize there was 5000 jewish holidays
Me: haha
Me: i seriously thought it was like lipsum or something
Jeremy Kendall: haha
Jeremy Kendall: phew, that was a lot of work…. got rid of the dirty jew holidays…
Me: haha, good.
Easy mistake, right?
It’s been busy around here, but where the hell did current.tv come from? And since when does Google have an updated tv show ever HALF hour? and since when did Spore become something more than screenshots and clever copy? But first things first… current is apparently: “A national cable and satellite channel dedicated to bringing your voice to television.”
Before I go on complaining about how it’s not really available ‘nationally’, here’s a link to an interview on google current that some might enjoy. It’s a quick interview with two of the folks from The Robot Co-Op, aka the minds behind 43things, 43places, 43people, allconsuming.net, and so on.
However, not in San Diego but select cities only (depending on the provider). I’d be really excited to see how this actually works and if it’s a total content overload. Back on topic, though. Google’s 2-6 minute segments are played on the half hour, every hour. I’m actually really impressed with their intro… they’ve done good as far as asthetics go (for once). They’re definitely not known for making things pretty. The content that’s on content.tv/google is very all over the place, but very focused on internet culture as a whole. Tributes to that fat numa numa kid singing/dancing to that song; how boingboing is blocked by sites because its pornographic, yet not really; and more. I’m really jealous of… Continue Reading
I’m just going to come out and say… the US trailer for Lady Vengeance isn’t as good as I think it could have been. The plot, scenes, and photography are great… but the trailer is put together poorly. Maybe on purpose? I don’t know, but I have very high hopes for Lady Vengeance. Chan-wook Park doesn’t really disappoint.

So my buddy Mike just got his new Dell at work today. He was going through everything, unwrapping, unpacking, and he stumbles on to his keyboard. It was cover with this plastic bag that has the two most hilarious warning icons I’ve ever seen. I hope that the person who made them has more gems like these, and one day I’ll run across them.
Without knowing much about 20 year old Carl Zhang or the film itself, what more can you say than ‘beautiful’. Even if the movie is bland, with no real story or character building… at least it has incredible photography, right? Check out the trailer for ‘Lovers’, and see if you can get any more story than what the title says already.

II just finished reading several chapters of Kevin Smith’s chronicle of Jason Mewes’ addiction to heroine — “Me and My Shadow,” It’s definitely been a while since I’ve read any sort of ‘day in the life of’ blog, but there’s something about his blog that keeps me entertained. I don’t know if it’s just the way he writes or the subject manor, but even reading about his dogs, Mulder and Skully, it’s interesting. However, this series of posts is like reading pure frustration. Not Larry David, Curb Your Enthusiasm frustration, but the “my best friend doesn’t even steal money from me to get high, it’s only because he needs to pop oxy or heroine to feel normal” frustration. The excerpt below is from when they were… Continue Reading
Friday marked my last day at TaylorMade-adidas Golf, and a new career at Digitaria (origin). I’m very excited about the things to come and being able to retain my relationship with the people at TMaG while building new ones with the wonderful people at Digitaria. I’ve been so fortunate to work for/with such great companies, but nothing beats being around the incredible people I’ve met at both of these companies; I couldn’t ask for more (well, having a window will be sweet :D). So for the month of March… I turned 22, signed the paperwork for my new car, got the new position at Digi, and finally launched this site. I can’t wait to see what happens in April. -_-
Right now Flight of The Navigator is up on my movie audio player on the homepage, and I think the next one will be… Continue Reading
